The ISA² Mid-Term Conference: Linking Public Administrations, Businesses and Citizens is an event organised by the European Commission's ISA² Programme on 29 November 2018 at the cultural house Flagey in Brussels. The conference will be opened by the EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Mariya Gabriel. The event will gather professionals from public administrations in EU countries and EU institutions, as well as from the private sector.
The ISA² Programme is running from 2016 to 2020 and therefore reaching its midway point. It is an opportunity to discuss:
- what has been already achieved;
- the tasks for the upcoming years; and
- the future of the programme beyond 2020.
The conference will present the current state of the implementation of the new European Interoperability Framework. The EU Member States have committed to fulfil the vision laid out in the framework by signing the Tallinn Declaration on eGovernment. At the conference, Member Sates representatives will share good practices for the framework implementation.
The event will also showcase interoperability solutions developed under the ISA² Programme so far. A session and a large exhibition will be dedicated to their presentation, as well as to use cases from the public and private sector.
The final part of the conference will offer the opportunity to look at interoperability from a global perspective and to discuss the future of ISA² after 2020. According to the European Commission's proposal for the next Multiannual Financial Framework, the programme would be part of the first-ever Digital Europe Programme.
(Deadline extended until 26 November 2018!)
